When I was a toddler, my Mum bought a 4ft tall framed poster of "The Kiss" on a trip out to Cardiff Museum. I'd call Klimt my of my biggest and most profound influences, I spent around 90% of my childhood drawing, and it was always involve very detailed, yet rather wonky splashes of shape. Circles, squares, spirals all woven into each other; In terms of mark making Klimt's paintings certainly gave me a very distinct eye for detail and composition.
